Four grade 10 learners from T.E. Mrwetyana school joined the Inkcubeko Nendalo team to participate in the annual Rhodes University Green Fund Run. The fun run has a serious aim: to raise funds for Rhodes Green Fund, to support initiatives that promote sustainability.
The team included Buyisile Gubevu, Wonga Ndika, Sinathi Kom, Anele Nqebeya from T.E. Mrwetyana, Mluleki Nkosi and Michelle, Joshua and Daniel Dold.
In keeping with Inkcubeko's Biocultural Diversity focus the runners carried traditional Xhosa olive wood sticks (iminquma) and sang traditional songs relating to mens initiation (ulwaluka).
